What we do
Prism is a charity whose objective is to assist individuals, foundations and companies with their charitable giving. The donors decide when and where to give their money, we administer their donations and advise on tax-efficient methods of charitable giving. Where appropriate we reclaim tax from HMRC, assist with the giving of shares, and provide advice.
The main functions of Prism are:
- Prism operates a Gift Fund. This enables donors to make lump sum donations to the Fund or into their own sub-fund. Donors can add to the Fund whenever they wish.
- Donors will give Prism directions as to how they wish their donations to be applied. Prism will then administer the donations in accordance with the donors' wishes. Anonymity can also be arranged if desired.
- Donors expect an increasing level of accountability from the charities they support and look for measurable results from their charitable donations. Prism can monitor the application of donations on behalf of the donor.
So, Prism simplifies the entire giving process by:
- Saving people time by dealing with the paperwork, providing quarterly statements and an end of year tax statement summarising any tax that may be reclaimed.
- Advising on tax-efficient methods of charitable giving.
- Advising donors where their donations can go, reflecting their own wishes and goals.
